To manage chemical risks in a systematic and documentable way, a number of hazard lists and regulatory lists have been established.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Hazard lists and regulatory lists identify substances with particularly hazardous properties, regulate their use and placing on the market, and provide guidance for substitution, reporting, and risk assessment. In other words, the supplier must provide information about the presence of such substances above certain concentration limits. In addition, it creates a clear expectation that companies consider <a href=\"https:\/\/workplacesafety.no\/en\/resources\/substitution-of-chemicals-how-to-choose-safer-alternatives\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"4065\">the substitution<\/a> of products containing such substances. The candidate list therefore serves as an initial warning that stricter measures may be forthcoming.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Authorisation List<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/echa.europa.eu\/authorisation-list\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The authorisation list<\/a> (REACH Annex XIV) contains substances that cannot be used without specific authorisation. For many organisations, this means substitution becomes the most realistic solution in practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Restriction List<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/echa.europa.eu\/information-restricted-substances\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The restriction list<\/a> (REACH Annex XVII) contains specific restrictions or bans on certain substances or areas of use. Restrictions may, for example, be that a substance is not permitted in consumer products, that concentration limits apply, or that its use is restricted to certain industries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Norwegian Priority List<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Norway also has a national priority list of pollutants that is managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miljodirektoratet.no\/ansvarsomrader\/kjemikalier\/den-norske-prioritetslista\/om-den-norske-prioritetslista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Norwegian Environment Agency<\/a>. For many organisations, this means substitution becomes the most realistic solution in practice. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:spacer {\"height\":\"10px\"} -->\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:spacer --><!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3,\"fontSize\":\"medium\",\"translatedWithWPMLTM\":\"1\"} -->\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Restriction List<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading --><!-- wp:paragraph {\"translatedWithWPMLTM\":\"1\"} -->\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/echa.europa.eu\/information-restricted-substances\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The restriction list<\/a> (REACH Annex XVII) contains specific restrictions or bans on certain substances or areas of use. Restrictions may, for example, be that a substance is not permitted in consumer products, that concentration limits apply, or that its use is restricted to certain industries. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:spacer {\"height\":\"40px\"} -->\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:spacer --><!-- wp:heading {\"fontSize\":\"large\",\"translatedWithWPMLTM\":\"1\"} -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Norwegian Priority List<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading --><!-- wp:paragraph {\"translatedWithWPMLTM\":\"1\"} -->\n<p>Norway also has a national priority list of pollutants that is managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miljodirektoratet.no\/ansvarsomrader\/kjemikalier\/den-norske-prioritetslista\/om-den-norske-prioritetslista\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Norwegian Environment Agency<\/a>.
